AgriGen is fully equipped to perform Aquatic Animal Virus analysis and was the first private company in Australia to develop this diagnostic capability. The company’s real-time PCR methods were validated for equivalence to the OIE test methods and these methods have now been deployed for over 8 years in routine testing of imported seafood.

This includes Prawn Viruses as follows:

AgriGen is also capable of performing the routine analysis of the following viruses:

  • Gill Associated (GAV)
  • Taura Syndrome (TSV)
  • Infectious hypodermal and hematopoietic necrosis (IHHNV)
  • Abalone viral ganglioneuritis (AVG) in Abalone. Other Aquatic Animal Viruses are available to be analysed upon request.
